Summer Camp Season!

Today, Saturday July 15th, marks the start of 2 camps in different parts of Ukraine.

It’s the second of Slava’s camps from Lutsk, and Juia, who has been part of the English-speaking team there for the first camp for younger kids, has had chance to send a quick note :

“This is the first chance Ive had to sit down and write a quick email since arriving in Ukraine two weeks ago.
The kids camp was amazing, lots of laughter, love and fun times. Unfortunately some kids got sick and myself as well, but luckily hospitals weren’t involved this time.

This past week five of us girls have been staying in Lutsk at Anna’s home keeping busy with planning, English lessons and other adventures I will talk about in my newsletter after the teens camp.

We have all been tired, mentally and emotionally, struggling to find time and space to meet our introverted needs but overall it has been such a happy and joyful time here.

I ask that you please pray for us as we enter into a new adventure with the teenagers. Please pray for: good health, physically and mentally, meaningful times with the kids, wisdom to say the right words as we lead discussions on different topics and good weather so we can swim!

Please pray for our English-German-Polish leaders:
Melissa
Rachel
David
Amy
Sylvia
Ewa
Julia (me)

Sending lots of love from Ukraine,
Julia”

And it is the first of Bartek and Zhanna’s Summer camps, in Rivne, a “European” Camp for 120 teenagers, so pray for all who will be there.

Meanwhile, in Poland, Camp Arka has just completed their third and final week – pray for all who have been there!
