A reminder from our friends on the ground of what life is like close to the front line for people who are still living there :

Shortly before Christmas I was visiting a small town in northeast Ukraine, where we are providing humanitarian relief to around 12,000 people.

Their town is less than ten kilometers from the Russian border.

Their appeal as we left, “Please don’t forget about us.”

A few days after our visit, Russian bombs destroyed a few more homes, and killed some of the elderly people who are unable to leave.

In the midst of all the other international noise, please remember to pray for the people of Ukraine.
