Slovak help in Africa

Allan wrote last weekend :

For your prayers, Caulene goes later today to Ethiopia and Kenya, to visit six different programs which provide schooling to more than 1000 children, of which many are sponsored by Slovak families. She will be joined by two Slovak colleagues whom she is training to do this work.

This week I will also be in Kenya for a rather different purpose. We are managing an EU funded program for the renewal of the cashew nut industry among 15,000 farmers on the Kenyan coast.

I will participate in what will be the official launch of this project, replete with dignitaries, ambassadors and government ministers. It seems I will need to make a speech of some sort. I feel rather out of place in such a setting.

Our prayer is that in all of this work for the benefit of “the least of these” God would be glorified.

Thanks
