YFC Poland New Director

In the Summer, Bartek Jakoniuk finished his time as Director of YFC Poland, though he continues to volunteer in the “Narnia” project. In his place, a new Director was welcomed – Krzysztof Kacprowicz, who has also been a volunteer for many years. Since his teenage years, Krzysztof has been involved in church life, ministering among children and youth, and he studied theology and psychology. His desire is to invest in young leaders and in church unity.

In the Summer, the 11th kids’ Summer camp took place in Krotoszyn, with the team of English friends from Bilton Church in Rugby. The theme was “Freedom” and we had 7 days of fun with a great bunch of children, 7 days of learning English and getting to know Bible stories and Bible heroes. We are already looking forward to next year!

September saw the re-opening after the Summer break of our community club “Narnia“, which exists for the underprivileged children and teenagers of the so-called “Bermuda Triangle” inner-city area of Wroclaw. For some of them it has become a second home, somewhere cosy and safe and well-equipped to meet, and to participate for free in many educational workshops: drama, arts and crafts, cookery, sports etc. We have been running some extra events for the children to display their art and other skills. We also partner with other educational associations to organise field trips for the young people.
