Slovak Government Aid
Allan in Bratislava is asking us to pray that Slovak aid will continue to flow to needy people in Africa:
Over the past 15 years, as our work has expanded, God has given us favour with secular authorities in the support of our work in Africa and beyond.
The Slovak government and the European Union have consistently supported our programs to bring poverty alleviation and hope for the future to people in need.
But each year we need to re-apply for this financial support. And March is the time when this happens, when we sow the seeds for the next 12-18 months. Like all seed sowing, there are no guarantees.
This year we are applying for funding to:
– help teenagers from a Nairobi slum to learn a useful trade
– strengthen a business that buys and processes dried fruit in support of thousands of farmers on the impoverished Kenyan coast.
– provides essential medical interventions to refugees from the crises in Syria and Iraq
– delivers food support, water and sanitation to women and children displaced by the conflict in South Sudan
Please pray that those who make the decisions would again view with favour these projects that bring hope to so many.
